Kenny, you have made the single largest one-week improvement in your sales contest production numbers. You doubled your supplement sales over the past two weeks and have jumped in to the Top 10. Congratulations! In your opinion, what are some of the most things that helped you to be able to accomplish this?
Kenny:
First of all, I think it’s important for me to say this: Before this Contest even started, I used the dotFIT products myself. I use the health products, I used the LeanPak90 kit, and now I’m on Week 2 of the Xtreme Muscle Stack. I love the products and I really believe they work. I am a big believer in leading by example. Even my wife and kids are on the dotFIT multivitamins.
Second, I have to say that the interview you guys did with that top Trainer (Josh Elsesser from Fitness Works in AZ - See the Interview here), was really enlightening to me. When I read it, I realized that he believed very strongly in the products, and I knew I did too. So, I thought to myself, “You know what I’m going to do? I’m going to get as many people as possible registered online with a dotFIT account so that they can feel like they are part of this entire program, and then just start talking about the products once I get them set up.” That really seemed to work.
The members responded very well to the recommendations I made because it was part of this entire program. It built a lot of confidence.
I’ve made some good progress so far, but there are some things I still want to work on. Even though I don’t yet have the kind of clientele like Josh Elsesser’s where I can require that they use the dotFIT products, I do my best every day to talk with everyone I come into contact with at the club. When people first get to the gym before their workout, and after their workout but before they leave, I’m at the front desk talking with people. It’s really easy.
Education is important. Something I realized when I first started talking to as many people as possible was that I needed to know the answers to their questions. The most common question I get is, “Why should I use the dotFIT products rather than something I can get at GNC?” So I read up on the manufacturing, the delivery systems and everything else that made the dotFIT products unique and more beneficial, and I share that with them. I learned even more while going through the online Certification Course, too. Knowing how to confidently answer those questions really makes a difference.
Sampling the products has helped, too. It really only takes one serving to help them feel the difference – especially with the NO7Rage before their workout. I let people who are interested take a serving of my own personal NO7Rage so they can try it for themselves. It works really well! So far, every person I’ve done that with has bought a jug of it. They know it makes a difference, and now they don’t want to workout without it!
Lastly, I think people trust me. They know I am knowledgeable and that I am only trying to help them. Whenever you have people’s trust, and they know that you have their best interest in mind, they will follow your recommendations.
