How do we deal with multilevel marketing of supplements in our health club?

How do we deal with multilevel marketing of supplements in our health club?

First and foremost multilevel marketing companies (MLMs) are a way of friends sharing things with friends while making money. And that's fine when you are NOT sharing concentrated nutrients that you don't fully understand or know the effective and safe dosages. The scientific community frowns on all nutrition related MLMs because they can tarnish the reputation of any professional health environment as well as the professional.

Second, but more financially important is that anyone in your facility participating in the MLM of supplements is simply "hijacking your traffic" to capture your potential revenue and leaving you exposed not just from a liability standpoint, but it also reflects poorly on business integrity - i.e. you're guilty by association as people solicit your clientele . Remembering the fact that 80% of your members purchase supplements somewhere is your opportunity to deliver professional products in a professional setting by trained professionals - as part of a complete fitness solution you offer.

Why is dotFIT better than something you can buy at Costco, another retailer or MLM?

Retailers and MLM reps cannot determine what you truly need (or don’t need), nor do they have the expertise to know if a product can actually work as claimed. Retailers are not nutrition and fitness professionals; they ring the cash register after you select a product. And how did you select it? Did you (or the MLM rep) match the ingredients to a clinical trial that shows safety and efficacy? How much is too much? What will happen if you take the product you are purchasing with medications or other supplements? Products sold in the mass market or through MLMs must compete on price and/or marketing hype, therefore something must be compromised such as the amount of ingredients to make it efficacious. dotFIT products are made to work and only sold in a professional setting, meaning no compromising on the actual forms or dosages used in clinical trials, which is how the vast majority of cheap products reduce costs: compromise to save money for marketing.
